Suburban Front Yard

All of the grasses, shrubs, and flowering plants will withstand the heat and dry conditions of the area once they have established themselves. For it's first two yearsthe garden will be watered regularly with soaker hoses. These hoses consist of a porous rubber that oozes water right into the ground. This keeps water where we want it, in the ground nourishing the roots. The flexible hose is carefully wound thru the garden, held down with landscape staples, a couple of inches away from the stems of the plants. It's slow irrigation, can be left on overnight as the water makes it's way deep into the soil, and the garden can be watered less often.
